A graduate of the Charleston School of Law, Stephen Krzyston practices criminal law with the firm of Cavanaugh & Thickens in Columbia, South Carolina. To inform his activities with Cavanaugh & Thickens, Stephen Krzyston holds active membership with several different groups of law professionals, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Dedicated to protecting the fundamental constitutional rights of criminal defendants, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) spearheads a broad spectrum of advocacy and educational initiatives. To further its educational efforts, it offers online seminars and courses on a variety of topics.

In its Trial Advocacy & Litigation Skills Training Course, the NACDL presents comprehensive guidelines for constructing and executing successful criminal defense litigation. Comprised of 12 interrelated episodes, this webinar series takes participants through every stage of criminal defense representation, from initial case planning and pre-trail negotiations to preparing for final sentencing. Key episodes in the series include “Using Jury De-Selection to Find & Exclude the Right Jurors” by Fernando Freyre and “Theatre Techniques, Persuasion & Courtroom Choreography” by Keith Belzer.
